Dear/all,
This article is a follow-up to our proposed candidate solution that we submitted to the Great Reddit Scaling Bake-Off competition.
On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, our network has proved that it is more than ready to serve businesses with a large user base — just like Reddit.
Without further ado, let the numbers speak for themselves:
- Number of daily transfers: 7,262,785
- Average block time: ~5 seconds
- Maximum number of receivers per block: 10,100
- Maximum number of transactions per second: 2,186
See for yourself: https://chainik.io/block/1184285.
Usability
We significantly improved user experience for BIP Wallet and rolled out the Stories functionality, among other things. We also released Minter Wallet — a simple and convenient single control center for all your loyalty points and rewards. You do not even need to know what blockchain is and can send coins to both Minter and e-mail addresses — even if the recipient has never used Minter Wallet before — after logging in via a secure one-time link straight from your inbox.
Interoperability
We are currently working on the Minter Hub sidechain that will interconnect Minter with other leading blockchains such as Ethereum, allowing users to move coins between the networks at the same time enjoying the benefits of Minter: high speed and low fees. Minter 2.0 will see the arrival of non-reserve custom tokens (each subreddit can have its own!) with absolute and instant liquidity — implemented similarly to Uniswap pools — that users will also be able to pay transaction fees with.
We would like to take this moment to once again thank the entire Reddit team for striving to make the Internet a better place. And if after reading this, you are interested in our proposition more than ever, please don’t hesitate to contact Mike for further communication.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,
Minter community
