Minter Wallet is an intuitive and user-friendly web wallet that was tailored to meet the needs of those who take part in various loyalty and rewards platforms.

Minter Wallet is currently in beta.

The service aims to help brands engage their audience in any promo as fast as possible. With Minter Wallet, it will take customers as little as 1 minute to join a campaign. Moreover, they won’t need to download or install anything, figure out how blockchain works, or have any special skills. The only thing they’ll need to do is sign in to their wallet via e-mail.

The wallet’s main feature is the ability to send and receive coins not only to Mx addresses but also to e-mail addresses.

Checks enable users to send any coin using e-mail even if the receiver hasn’t signed up for Minter Wallet. The recipient can claim their transfer within 30 days simply by logging in to the wallet from their e-mail address.

Such an approach unlocks many opportunities for brands (be it a business or a blogger or a platform or a store) to set up their loyalty programs and rewards systems.

Some of the cases are described below.

Games

A game is celebrating an anniversary and decides to send out greeting cards along with rewards to active daily players via e-mail. The publisher shares the news across its communication channels, inviting users to go to the wallet and enter their e-mail address. Users go to Minter Wallet, sign in via e-mail, and collect their reward.

E-Commerce

An on-line store is launching a cashback program. For each purchase over $10, customers receive a 5-percent cashback in their inbox. Loyalty programs apply here, too: for each purchase, customers get points that are stored in their account. Once a specific number is reached, the user can spend them on discounts, free shipping, goods/services offered by the store, etc.

YouTubers

A blogger is incentivizing their subscribers with a branded coin that can be spent within the community. It can be access to premium content, branded merch, or whatever perk you can think of. The only action required on the user’s part is leaving their Mx address in the comments section below the video.

Minter Wallet: Key Characteristics

  • The wallet itself does not make any transactions, they are made by users through a web interface
  • Seed phrases are stored on a server in an encrypted form, the wallet only queries them when a transaction is requested
  • Get your seed phrase via e-mail upon tapping the corresponding button (coming soon)
  • No app installation required, it’s a web wallet
  • Send funds to Mx addresses and e-mail addresses alike thanks to checks that await redemption for 30 days
  • Instant access to the wallet in a couple of clicks via a special log-in link (leveraging the best modern practices adopted by, for example, Medium)
  • No passwords mean higher security and protection against account hacks

In the near future, you will be able to spend coins on all digital goods and services from the catalog that lists tens of thousands of options provided by some of the best merchants.
